It started when we told Alaskan knifemaker and hunting and fishing guideRuss Kommer that we wanted a series of premium classic hunters withstacked leather handles. He came back with these functional (andgraceful) designs. They are knives that you will use for skinning,caping and field chores, then clean and display proudly - for decadesto come.

These knives start with a full tang premium 440A stainless steel bladethat will hold an edge while dressing the largest big game animals inNorth America without constant need for touch up. Added is a stainlesssteel bolster, oversize rings of leather cut and dyed in Oregon, and astainless butt cap, swedged in place by a stainless steel tube rivet.Finally, the entire handle is hand-shaped and finished to achieve theperfect contour, so each knife is an individual work of art. The highhollow ground blades, bolster and butt cap are given a high satinfinish to close the metal pores, which makes cleaning easier and fightscorrosion. All blades are sized so when skinning with the three-fingergrip your index finger is right at the blade tip.

The full-fitted sheaths of 9 oz. shoulder leather feature a classicbasketweave pattern. These are handfinished production hunters thatmost custom knifemakers would be proud of. They are named after Russ'sfavorite hunting ranges.
